Pine Bluff, Arkansas: Wanna know a fun fact?

When I tell people where I’m from I immediately say Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I don’t refer to Texas or New York because for a large portion of my life I lived, learned, danced and ate fried chicken in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Most people don’t even know where that is, nor are they aware that there is an entire population of Black Men and Women that reside there. It makes me laugh on the inside because I know just how powerful that is.

My city is filled with a ton of talented, underestimated and unique individuals that look just like me. With the right tools, connections, and resources I know that we can overcome every negative stigma of crime and violence.
